Description
Detailed description
Built between 1870 and 1920 from red brick, the shipyard halls form the oldest industrial area in Schleswig-Holstein. After standing empty and falling into disrepair for decades, the buildings on the River Trave were purchased by entrepreneur Thilo Gollan in 2015. Since then, they have been carefully modernized - from a pure event location with state-of-the-art technology, a completely new quarter is currently developing in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck - the settlement of local artists, start-ups and manufactories, but also the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival have made the shipyard area a new hotspot. The morbid charm of the historic industrial monument has been preserved, offering a total of 17,000 square meters of barrier-free event space for congresses, exhibitions or concerts for up to 4,200 people.
