The red brick shipyard halls, built between 1870 and 1920, form the oldest industrial area in Schleswig-Holstein. After standing empty and decaying for decades, the buildings at the Trave river were purchased by entrepreneur Thilo Gollan in 2015. Since then, they have been carefully modernized - a pure event location with state-of-the-art technology is currently developing into a completely new quarter in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck - the settlement of local artists, start-ups and manufactories, but also the arrival of the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival have made the shipyard area a new hotspot. The morbid charm of the historic industrial monument has been preserved, which also offers barrier-free event spaces for congresses, exhibitions or concerts for up to 4,200 persons on a total of 17,000 square meters.
