Lübeck's Schiffergesellschaft dates back to the beginnings of commercial seafaring at the start of the 15th century. Around 150 years ago, the Schiffergesellschaft became what it is today: a traditional Hanseatic restaurant with a historic ambience. Now with fresh ideas and modern North German cuisine. In the Great Hall, hosts and guests dine on historic banquettes, where skippers and merchants negotiated with each other, planned sea voyages and celebrated business successes back in the 16th century. Even today, celebrating successful business deals in the Schiffergesellschaft is part of good manners in Lübeck. Or festive evenings, speaker dinners or corporate events for up to 170 people.
